Soothing Fears, Restoring Harmony, Enhancing Lives
Dr. Hilliard is the owner of Feeling Pawsitive Veterinary Behavioral Solutions. Originally from Leicestershire, England, Dr. Adele Hilliard relocated to South Carolina at age 11. She earned her bachelor’s degree in animal and veterinary sciences from Clemson University, followed by her veterinary degree from the University of Georgia in 2014. Dr. Hilliard spent 10 years in general practice before pursuing her dream of becoming a behaviorist. Dr. Hilliard is now a resident in the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists. Dr. Hilliard is under the supervision and mentorship of Dr. Beth Strickler.
Dr. Hilliard has a rich background in shelter medicine, both in the United States and England. During her studies at Clemson and Georgia, she dedicated numerous hours to various adoption agencies, working closely with anxious animals and engaging in public education. She also played a pivotal role in coordinating Shelter Medicine Surgery Activities for veterinary students at Georgia.
Beyond shelter medicine, Dr. Hilliard has explored fields such as preventative medicine, nutrition, and behavior. She actively participated in several organizations, including Vets for Pets and People, which supports abused women, and the Christian Veterinary Fellowship.
Following her graduation, Dr. Adele Hilliard ventured to the western United States, contributing her skills in veterinary medicine to communities in Wyoming and Colorado. She focused on providing both general and affordable veterinary care. In 2016, with the arrival of their first daughter, Dr. Hilliard and her family relocated to Greenville for proximity to their relatives.
Dr. Hilliard’s passion within veterinary medicine primarily now lies in animal behavior, helping dogs and cats to be at their happiest in their homes. She values client communication and offers substantial support to pet owners. As a fear-free certified veterinarian, her goal is to ensure a comforting experience for all her patients.
Dr. Hilliard’s personal life is enriched by her loving husband, Austin, and their two delightful daughters, Adelaide and Avalene. Their family pet, a playful golden retriever named Angus, has been instrumental in enhancing Dr. Hilliard’s expertise in puppy training.
The Hilliard family enjoys a dynamic lifestyle, often engaged in playful pursuits with their daughters and Angus, exploring local mountains and whimsically searching for forest and mountain trolls. Travel is a significant part of their life, with annual trips planned to England. Additionally, Dr. Hilliard has a keen interest in baking, interior design, and exploring diverse culinary experiences.

My compassion and love for animals runs deep…
As a child, you could find Lindsey saving ants, observing lightening bugs and playing with all of the neighborhood cats. Lindsey grew up with 3 Norwegian Elkhounds: Meeka, Mitzy and Mindy, as well as my cat, Kitty. Some of Lindsey's fondest memories are with them right by my side!
Last year, Lindsey adopted her dog Pollie. She is 9 years old and truly my best companion. Most of the time, you can find her lounging on her favorite blanket, playing with her tennis ball or enjoying a car ride with Lindsey (her absolute favorite)!
With over 10 years of sales and customer service management experience, Lindsey is looking forward to combining her passion of helping people AND pets to assist you and your precious pup every step of the way!
